We hope you have kept safe and healthy over the past few weeks. Since temporarily closing our classrooms for the health and safety of our students, staff, and community at large, the team here at the Skilled Trades Academies have been working together tirelessly to come up with a solution to get your classes back up and running. It is our goal to keep all of our classes on schedule the best we can, but understand that due to circumstance beyond our control, all practicals, shop time and TSSA exams will be scheduled to recommence as soon as we are allowed.In the meantime, we have received approval from both the TSSA and the Ministry of Colleges and Universities to start an e-learning program with all of our current students, and we are almost ready to begin!

Classes will resume starting the week of Monday, March 30th, with all class starting times remaining the same as if you were in the classroom. Later this week, you will receive a link from Zoom to login at our regular class time for web conference learning.

What you need to participate:

• Computer or tablet with internet access (due to mobile app restrictions, you need to use a computer or tablet only).
• Speakers or headphones — the built in speakers on your computer will do. Some people prefer headphones.
• Mic — the built in microphone on your computer will do. Some people prefer the microphone on their headphones.
• Anything you would usually need in the classroom (notebook, textbook, etc.)

If for any reason, you feel you cannot participate in our online classes, please email Carol at info@getatrade.com as soon as possible to discuss your options.
