What made you decide to attend the Halton Skilled Trades Academy?

"I decided to register with the Skilled Trades Academy after extensive research. After meeting with Brad and discussing the attention to detail, training, and hands-on training from qualified and experienced instructors, I decided this was the best suited training available."

What were the best parts of the Gas Technician program for you?

"The best part of the program was the knowledgeable instructors who never left anyone behind in this accelerated program. There is a wealth of knowledge to be learned and my instructor did an excellent job at making sure everyone was on board and understood everything that was being taught."

What made you decide to start your own business?

"I knew before even taking the course that I would start my own company, ProLogic Comfort Solutions Inc. I have always worked for myself but was looking for a rewarding technical trade to put my name on."

How did your education at the Halton Skilled Trades Academy help you start your own business?

"My education at the Halton Skilled Trades Academy gave me the confidence to go directly into the real world as a licensed contractor with the TSSA. I knew I had been taught all of the proper safety and legal requirements to carry out the duties of a gas fitter. Even after the course I knew that the Skilled Trades Academy was only a phone call away to answer anythign I was unsure of."

Why would you recommend the Skilled Trades Academy to others considering a career in the trades?

"I would recommend the Skilled Trades Academy to anyone interested in the trades because of the quality of the training and the fast track at getting you started in the workforce as a tradesperson."

What is some advice you have for people who are thinking of attending the Skilled Trades Academy?

"My advice is to do your research on different schools and talk to other people who have taken courses elsewhere; you will see the value in the program at the Skilled Trades Academy. Don't delay; it's been one of the most rewarding career decisions I have ever made."

What advice do you have for people considering starting their own business in the skilled trades?

"Starting your own business in the skilled trades is not for everyone. It takes hard work and dedication and a lot of legal responsibilities. But although it is very challenging, it is also very rewarding."
